1 month old ducklings attached to owner but needs to move to bigger pen

:frow Last year I transitioned my 2 bonded ducklings outside with no issues when they were 2 months old. Once they saw their new pool in their own space, they forgot all about me  Good luck! Like @Miss Lydia said, it’s probably harder on the humans than the ducks.
the same thing happened to me with my runners. I had one that was really attached but once she realized the big girl pool was available all the time I was old news. :hit

I have gone through this with my now 10 month old mallard ducks. My ducklings stayed inside with me for 6 weeks and I then moved them into a tiny coop in the backyard. I came out and played with them often and they did just fine. At 8 weeks I moved them into their final coop and the rest is history. The bond will always be there and they will be just fine. It’s harder for us to let them go and make the transition than it is for them! Have fun with your babies, they grow up so fast!
