Hi Everyone,
I am a newer chicken owner and still getting my feet wet. I have a chick that appears to have an eye infection and some kind of sores on the tops of both wings. I tried getting terramycin ointment for her eye but the CO-OP and Tractor Supply are out along with everywhere online. I was told that I will have to get a prescrition for it. So.... I called my Vet and he did not have it but did give me some TriOptic-S ointment today. I have applied it twice and it looks like it is helping already because she can at least open her eye now. My question is what should I do about the sores on her wings? I have her seperated from the other chicks under the heat lamp but she will be able to get out in 2-3 days. (They grow up so fast.) I don't know if its infectious so I need to get her better before her out grows her box.
What shold I do?
Thanks,
Jess
