I have a 1 year old Royal Palm Tom, who is all of a sudden have issues stading up. He spends most of the day laying down, where as he used to be up and moving around constantly. Seems as though it is painful for him to stand. If you have any ideas please let me know. Thank you,
Katie

Have you checked out the feet and legs for signs of swelling or infection? Bumblefoot would be the first thing to look for, there have been a lot of threads on here about it, including a really great one last fall/winter that had a lot of photos showing how to lance, drain, and stitch the abcess.

If its not that, I would think about some other systemic illness, like a respiratory or gastrointestinal -- could just be that it first manifests itself as a general weakness. I would try antibiotics, rest, electrolytes, and other supportive care.

Also, I would cross post this on the illnesses/emergencies forum, since it gets more traffic.

Please, no cross posting per BYC rules.
