1 YR OLD BARRED ROCK FELL OFF PERCH

Okay, now - can you tell if that tendon is still fully attached to the muscle up above, in her upper leg? I located 2 pics that might help you understand the way that joint works.

oh so it is the heel is where its floppy from side to side..she has no movement in her foot..ill let her rest tonight...and see what happens in the morning, you have been a great help...do you think she will ever walk again

At a guess, if the tendon is intact, and the bones aren't broken, I would give her a good chance of recovering. With all of the feeling I've been asking you to do with the joint, I'm assuming you haven't discovered any broken bones grinding against each other. In that case, I'd say she likely just gave herself a stinger (like you can do from running hard, or hopping down from a height, yourself), or a bruise, and after some rest, she'll be back at it again soon.

Hopefully, I'm right, and she will be well again, soon. The tough thing about this kind of thing is, I can't actually be there and see things for myself, and sometimes, things get lost in "translation," so to speak. So, again, I hope I'm understanding what you're saying correctly, and you're understanding what I'm saying correctly, and we are communicating clearly. If that's the case, I think we may be well on our way to getting her back on both feet again soon.

IS it okay to put her outside in my little juvie grow up coop by herself..i have a bed in there on the grass, but she wants to hop around the grass.....made her some electrolyte water this morning and she had some oatmeal , so she is eating drinking and pooping, again i dont feel any thing broken (like a bone, just at that heel joint it flops from side to side, it still feels attached to that next joint above it as well....should i tape or bandage that area that is floping....

Mmm Achilles tendon? I would wrap it with some light roll bandage. Don’t use vet wrap yet. She will swell if not already. I have had birds not land so right from perches. We changed to old tires stacked up like they do for goats. Much better. After you bandage her, allow her to try and maintain a routine life until healed but another problem integrating instead of separating is the others will pick at bandage and maybe take her out because they already know she is hurt and will cause them to separate leaving her vulnerable to prey outside. Good luck it hasn’t been too long so recovery is good for her so try not to worry. But look at goat tire hang out or something like it, and change. Bumble foot is also created from perches where too high or not. Chickens are smart and do all kinds of things but wing parachuting more in the owl kind of bird lol. But they still try!
