Hi all!

I've been raising my first chicks for the past 10 weeks. I'm pretty confident that two of them are girls and have had a sinking feeling for a few weeks that one is a cockerel. the fourth one I was sure was female but is suddenly giving me cause for question. Help me out?

Pretty sure are pullets: Buff Orpington, Silver-Laced Wyandotte
Hoping not a cockerel but worried: Blue-Laced Red Wyandotte
Thought was pullet but now concerned: Golden-Laced Wyandotte

They all look like pullets to me. Hardly any comb/wattle, and what they do have is pale. I don't see any obvious cockerel feathering. Just my two cents.

It's so good to hear that! I thought that if combs and wattles were developing red before they were a few months old, it was a good indication that they were cockerels, especially since the SLW has no comb to speak of at this point. The BLRW in particular was precocious in red coloring and size, and is quite skittish, so that's why I've been resigning myself to it being a boy.

You've renewed my hope that these two are just early developers!
