I got my eggs today, safe and sound! I can't wait, is it 23 or 28 days. Do I need to do anything special for them temp or humidity wise in a styro. I've only hatched a call duck once, a while back.
chickenzoo~~ I keep mine at 70% humidity for days 1-25, then up to 85% for days 25-28 ETA: Also about 100* for a still air, and drop it down to around 99 for days 25-28
DDD~~ Why oh why must you keep tempting me with all your lovely birds??
Great to hear they made it OK, Jen! 28 days for the Pekin eggs. The only time I artificially incubated duck eggs was right alongside chicken eggs and used 'semi-dry method' (Day 1 - 24 / 45% humidity and Day 25 - hatch / 65%). I usually just put them under whatever chicken is broody and can cover more eggs. edited to add: Oh Shelley, I'm a good excuse to be a bad influence or a bad excuse to be a good influence --- depending on who you ask.
