10+ French Black Copper Marans Eggs Jean/presley Lines

These are first year layers. My Roo is pure Jean C1 lines and the hens are Jean/Presley. The hens have been consistently marked and the pullets I am getting are also very consistent. All of our breeding stock are feathered. They are laying nice dark eggs with the older hens lightening up as they have been laying since last summer.

The pic of the eggs is current as of 9/7/10 and were not altered in any way. In fact the pic was WITH a flash. Those eggs have hatched and those chicks are now sold. The eggs are starting to lighten up but you are getting the genetics that are producing these dark eggs. Occasionally we get a clean legged chick. We have seen this with the 3rd and 4th generation.

I cannot guarantee your hatch due to shipping/handling and incubation methods. I will pack them very well, individually in bubble wrap. I will send my darkest eggs at the time of shipping. The eggs will be collected at the close of this auction and shipped out on a Monday or Tuesday after payment has cleared. Please pay promptly as these eggs will be packaged after the weekend gathering and any delay will affect your hatching. Shipping will be USPS priority and will be shipped out on a Mon or Tues. Payment is expected 24 hours after close of auction and payment is by Paypal only, NO ECHECKS.

I have added some new pics taken this last week 2/9/11 of some of our birds. It was dusk but it shows the copper coloring on some of our hens better. I will be taking more pics soon in better lighting.

I have taken a few pics of the eggs today (2/15/11) being collected for the 2/16/11 auction. They were collected from 2/14/11 and 2/15/11 so far.

I just hatched out chicks from this flock from an auction here on BYC and all my babies have feathered legs. They are happy bouncy new babies!

all my breeding pen birds are feathered and we started out with feathered. into our 3-4 generation we get the occasional clean leg chick. there are alot of them that are lightly feathered on the legs. Not heavy like the cochin. the standard is said to call for lightly feathered. I can take some close up pics to show the feathers. look for those hopefully tomorrow if it doesn't rain here.

those clean legged chicks that we do occasionally get are put into the laying hens pen for eating eggs. NEVER do we have ANY breeders in the breeding pen without feathered legs.
