I have a nurture right harris farms 360 incubator and I set 10 eggs from my 1 easter egger...all were 10 days or less old. I also set 2 eggs from my welsummer and 10 silkie eggs. I candles at 5 days and took out 2 silkie eggs that didn't have anything happening. I thought the green eggs were developing but maybe I was mistaken. I didn't candle again. On hatch day I had 9 silkies hatch and both the welsummers and ONE easter egger! I candled the eggs after a few days of waiting and it looks like they didn't develop at all. Can anyone explain why the eggs from one hen would be useless?

Yay for the new arrivals that did hatch! I hope they live happy and healthy lives! I think that the eggs might’ve just not been fertile or died at an early stage.

Most likely not fertile.

I assume there is a rooster living in the same pen with her.
But she could be refusing to let him mate with her.

Or he could be infertile (unless he was the father of some eggs that did hatch--that would prove that he is fertile.)
