Well, ya know that Delawares were created from a Barred Rock x New Hampshire cross, and Dels must be the world's friendliest chickens. These birds are very friendly. They will eat our of your hand. I checked the SOP for weights: cock: 8.5 pounds cockerel: 7.5 pounds hen: 6.5 pounds pullet: 5.5 pounds I weighed mine. They are last spring's hatch, so not a year old. cockerels: 8.1 lbs, and 7.9 lbs pullets: 6.2 lbs, 6.4 lbs, 6.6 lbs, 6.8 lbs
