I like the set up you have. What size is your run? Mine is 16 x 12. I have another 500 sq ft beyond it that I call the chicken yard. I snagged the pic for future reference. I may copy... er... pay homage to your design.It's a total of (roughly) 20x25. One half is 10x20, the other half where the coop sits is 15x20. I do like having the fence and gate splitting the halves - makes it very handy for cleaning or maintenance to be able to put the chickens in one side or another. But I regret not springing for a 6' fence all the way around... originally, I had my veggie garden in the 4' side. And "only" 3 chickens.![]()
We have resisted the netting. But I now see this picture and think maybe, we could restructure the less secure run to include a net to prevent the hawks from attacking.
