Update on Ruby the RIR.
She wasn’t too keen on the idea of eating the oil soaked biscuit pieces out of the bowl and was wanting out of my lap. So I, being the momma, had to improvise. I wrapped her in a towel then started picking up the biscuit pieces to hand feed her. She wasn’t cool with that either, but during our conflict I dropped a piece of biscuit on the towel.

It didn’t lay there a nanosecond. I accidentally dropped all of them on the towel.

She ate every one. At this time I also gave her a dose of Nutri Drench.
Today, she mingled with the rest of the flock just as normal.
And later this evening she was up on the coop porch just being a chicken.
And guess what, her squishy little crop was no more. She had replaced it with a firm little ball of feed and was ready for the roost.

Yay, Ruby! I certainly hope and expect her to continue improving.
Thank you all so very much for everything. I have never had this happen before and I hope Ruby isn’t going to be prone to having crop issues. I have learned quite a bit during her little setback and can add this little bit of knowledge to my arsenal. Thanks again.
