Just so everyone knows.. the chick has made a very promising recovery.i gave him a quarter of a childrens asprin and kept him in a cat carrier with a blanket over it for the night, and by the looks of things the brain swelling has gone down and hes a much happier chick :)

I live on 5 acres, I have 3 guinea fowl whom are just adorable, one is sitting on 40 plus eggs! I have 2 ducks and a gentle loving Drake, but recently one of my ducks had two ducklings which were born in Dec and they are soooooooooooooo cute, the other duck is sitting on 9 eggs, and not due for a couple of weeks. I have 2 Roosters, one being my first born ever last Aug, which was really exciting...I have 2 hens that have become mums over the past 2 months, then another 7 hens, some of which old girls that we got and were in a terrible neglect state, they are Isa Browns and I am about to adopt 2 old silky bantam's, which will live separately to the others, they will live in our backyard. I have a dog and soon to adopt a cavalier, 2 outside farm cats, one inside cat. we had a Shetland pony but she passed away due to old age her name was twinkles.....we are hoping to get 2 dorper lambs to grow old and live in the paddock. I also have an iside bird-woody and he is a cockatiel......so just the usual and I am new at all this, we have had hens for eggs, but never once have they been broody, then I got a couple of young ones and hence we have had some baby chicks :) You live in a beautiful part of Victoria!
