12 out of 14 so far -first timers

We ordered 12 eggs eggs from Pumpkinpup who was nice enough to send us 14 instead.

We got a mix of Buff Orpingtons, Barred Rocks and Black Australorps. I candled them all yesterday (day 8) and we have 12 little chickies so far.

Kids thought it was so cool to see inside the eggs, ok who am I kidding I was the most excited

Thanks, we're so proud. Now we just have to get them to the hatch date.

I will post pics when I can peel the camera away from my teenager who is putting pics in her Etsy account.

Ok, first little fuzzy butt has hatched. Hatch day was tonight but I knew my temps had been going a bit too low so I didn't expect anything until tomorrow.

I looked in our little homemade incubator this morning and said a word mommies shouldn't say.

I didn't expect to see anything moving yet but there was an almost-dry buff orpington chick. Tonight I see 6 more pips, hopefully we'll have another chick out soon to keep Penelope company.
