12 week old Blue Orpington Pullet or Cockerel?

Beautiful yes - on the fence re: gender maybe new photos in 2-4 weeks will do it.

I hope it's a pullet but it does look like a cockerel to me, with the big comb and wattles at 12 weeks. They aren't quite red but they do show some color. Definitely worth trying again with pictures in 2 to 4 weeks.

Still saying PULLET ... No hackle/saddle feathering ... I had a BO that had HUGE comb/wattles, had me until I got the egg

Thank you all for the input! My neighbor (who is 92) told me that early/big wattles on a pullet means she’ll be a great layer. I’d never heard that wives’ tale before, have you all?

I've heard that too! No idea if it's true though. I'm thinking pullet too. There isn't any male feathering yet.

Here’s some updated pictures I took in the coop after dusk tonight. The feathers have a definite shine to them which makes me that cockerel...take a look The EE rooster beside him/her is the same age and has definite saddle feathers as you can see.

Still say pullet but that close up of her head/eye, is it the camera angle or is her eye "cloudy" grey?

It looked that way when I used the flash, but not to the naked eye. I hope that doesn’t mean something is wrong
