What did this chick turn out to be? I’m having the EXACT same issue with one of my lavs. Only roo characteristic is red comb and wattles. But it’s only 10 weeks old. Curious about your little one. I know lavs have a reputation for waiting a long time before letting us know what they are lol.
I will!!! Thank you! Standby ...Take some photos and post a thread! If you have more than one Lavender Orpington take a few pictures of one of the others for comparison, it makes it much easier!
Curious too.... @crazychickenlady81 ???What did this chick turn out to be?
Lou turned out to be a male! A beautiful male at that. He and my other lav orp, Rose, were like two peas in a pod. It was really cute. However, I am saddened to say that he got too aggressive and we had to get rid of him earlier this month. He started attacking random visitors to our house and had a certain penchant for my husband.... chasing him around the yard every chance he got. For some reason, he would only mate with 2 or 3 of the other girls, and once they started getting really barebacked, we realized that he was not only a liability for us, he was also making the other girls lives more difficult too. I do have a couple pics we took before the end. I will try to get pictures posted ASAP!What did this chick turn out to be?
