Yeah, I think ere is still a chance of it being a pullet as well. I'm not ready to say so definitely though, so I think if they post pics in a couple weeks, it would give a much better idea.I vote pullet..... the comb isn't that red and the tail feathers can be misleading at that age. I'd wait to see male hackle and saddle feathers emerging soon before calling cockerel.
This is a BCMxCCL pullet at 12-13wks....look at her tail.

Nope.Any idea what egg color he might have if he was supposed to be an olive egger hen?
Would he carry the genes from an Ameraucana?
He carries one blue egg gene and one non blue egg gene (white).Hey guys! Just wanted to give an update for anyone who comes to this thread looking for a similar situation with their Olive Egger. Mine did in fact turn out to be a rooster. He's SO handsome. I'm bummed that I won't get that gorgeous olive egg color in my rotation, but curious to see what his offspring will look like. Thanks for all of your input, everyone! Any idea what egg color he might have if he was supposed to be an olive egger hen? Would he carry the genes from an Ameraucana? Thanks all!
I have no idea! He was just sold as an "Olive Egger Hen" and turned out to be a Roo!Nope.
If one of his parents was an Ameraucana, yes.
Do you know his parentage?
That's really neat. I need to read up on breeding with Roos so I can better understand how to express specific genes through pairing! Thank you!He carries one blue egg gene and one non blue egg gene (white).
Isn't he!!! I can't believe how stunning he is. He totally takes my breath away.really handsome roo
