12 week old still wants to sleep under her mother

Ive been checking mrs frizzle today and putting petrolium jelly on her feet. I notice that she has black bits on her face that are rough and scaly. I put some jelly on them too as they may also be mites like she had on her feet. They were black scaly crusty lumps. She also has quite a bit around one eye. I thought it was just her particular colouring but now im not sure. What do you think. Ill try to get some photos tomorrow and start another thread for some advice. I need to find some pictures of black around the eye

Scaly leg mites are invisible to the naked eye and only under scales. Those sound like scabs maybe. But yes, a pic will help. The jelly will only work on the leg mites as far as I know. If you are having concern for others... and I WOULD, then I would consider treating with permethrin spray. It is safe, effective, affordable, and easy to use. I bought mine in a trigger bottle labeled horse fly spray, as a means of keeping mosquitoes off of my goats and dogs. But discovered it was labeled for many other uses including chicken parasites. Costed me about $10 and with 60+ birds, 3 dogs, and 2 goats it has lasted me well over a year. I have seen lice and other things. And I have also taken birds to the vet to verify there wasn't something going on that I was missing. Vet said there was something previously but not currently. It works.
