12 week Orloff; Sir or Madame?

Do you know about when they start to grow those feathers? And when they are usually vocalizing? My first chicken experience.

It really varies. If it turns out to be male, I would expect male feathering within a month for sure. Crowing can happen any time-- some boys can be very late, like 8 or 10 months.

And there is still the possibility it is a pullet. It seems like most of us think it is a cockerel, but there is no definite proof yet. We're making educated guesses. My hope is that I am wrong and you get the pullet you want.

There are some iridescent green feathers on them too, I know hens can have some of those but they seem more of a rooster thing too.

It's kind of iffy. Could ou wait a couple weeks, and post pics of the saddle feathers?

Thank you everyone! The tail feathers have a more pronounced curve now and I can see the thin pointy saddle feathers beginning to emerge. Adding Princess to the name almost guarantees a boy according to Murphy's Law.
