Do you know about when they start to grow those feathers? And when they are usually vocalizing? My first chicken experience.
It really varies. If it turns out to be male, I would expect male feathering within a month for sure. Crowing can happen any time-- some boys can be very late, like 8 or 10 months.

And there is still the possibility it is a pullet. It seems like most of us think it is a cockerel, but there is no definite proof yet. We're making educated guesses. My hope is that I am wrong and you get the pullet you want.
 
Thank you everyone! The tail feathers have a more pronounced curve now and I can see the thin pointy saddle feathers beginning to emerge. Adding Princess to the name almost guarantees a boy according to Murphy's Law.
