12 wk old buff can't lift head

I have been in and out of the coop all day, didn't notice any problems. Tonight, when I closed up the coop, I found my 12 wk old buff orp laying in the enclosed yard. She made no effort to get away when I scooped her up and could not raise her head. She does not seem to have any other symptoms. Her breathing seems fine, her legs seem normal. I have checked her body and found no other problems. I fed her sugar water with a syringe, but she spit a lot of it back out. She pooped a little and the color was yellowish/white surround by clear. Any ideas?

I just found an old post, same breed, age, symptoms. I fear my girl won't make it through the night.

That's what I am thinking now, too. I didn't think she'd make it through the night, but she doesn't seem to be any worse. Not any better, either. She is, of course, in the house with me and I'll continue with TLC and hope for the best.

Also look up botulisum, it can hit fast and cause floppy paralysis.
