I put 60 quail in yesterday morning. Forgot to post it here. LOL. At least I used the new hatching program. All are Jumbo Pharaohs, with half of them being White Wings. All my own eggs.

Just did very early (day 5-6) candle of my Brahma eggs. So far it looks like I have 6 of the 12 with tiny growths, 1 clear, 2 red rings. At least I think going to give them until Saturday before pulling anything out.

Started with 53, shoot... did I start with 51?! Either way, took out 5. 4 clears, all from the same hen and 1 quitter. I may have to go double check the numbers I gave. Oops!

Edit... Yep! I can’t count. Started with 51. Officially have 46 developing now.

And for the reminder. Things have been rather busy here. Except for the daily check humidly and temps I haven’t even thought about candling. Although past eggs from this rooster has been 100 percent it is colder now with less light. Hopefully get a few more eggs to add by the weekend, and candle then.

If I’m doing an experiment that most likely won’t work but I’m super optimistic for no reason other than my kids want chicks, do they count as eggs for the NYD hatchalong? They’re refrigerated eggs.

I’ll be candling on day 4 or 5 to see if there is even a sign of life. I barely set them on the 14th.
