I knew you didn’t have one. You would have mentioned it if you did. :hugs It’s okay. You are at least keeping track of the air cells. Try dry rice in some container. However, it really could be okay. Pictures help.

I used a hygrometer the first like two or three times I hatched, honest! I just found that it was easier and less stressful to track air cell growth instead (no additional number to be worried about and all that). I will check them and get pictures tonight after dark. I set it in my phone so I have no excuses now for forgetting to. 🤣


It is bad for the hatch to have humidity below 30% for a long period of time.

This I did not know. I've had hatches where I ran it without water for a period to get air cells up to where they needed to be, but usually I get results by now for doing it, so now I'm kind of more worried again. 😬

The zone of death is in the 25% range for humidity. Of course having a hygrometer is needed to know when that is reached, LOL
 
Okay, now that I am extra worried :oops: I went ahead and took them to a dark room to candle them for pictures early (and managed not to drop them, phew). First egg is on day 13 and second egg is on day 11.

Hi i have question , so i put incubator mostly eggs from 1 hen, will every chiks Hatched out of her eggs be same or chiks from same hen can be different in colors?
They will be different based on the breed of the hen and rooster.
