My first chick just hatched. It barely pushed itself out of the egg before passing out. My chick that was the wrong way around made itself a pip hole, despite my safety hole, and is almost out.

Houston, we have a problem... Down to a loveseat in the LR, and the corner where my corner desk is.... just set up the two new brooders and moved the 4 week old brooder into the corner where my papasan normally is. It's getting crowded in here.. ntm the 2 week olds in the bathroom (no privacy at all in this house!).

When should I remove the hatchlings? How soon should I introduce food and water?

Give them enough time to dry and fluff out. You don't want to get them out to quickly as their yolks will have provided them what they need for the next 24+hrs or so. The live chooks running around will also encourage your others to come out ❤

Always make sure they know what water is first before food. This can be introduced in the brooder by dipping your finger in water and putting droplets in/on their beaks*if needed
