The new hatchlings are very cute!

First chick hatched last night (Brahma/ameracauna Easter Egger! Hope it’s a girl!!) and is now in the brooder with the ducklings. The other chicken eggs are now rocking and rolling one internal pip and one external pip. I expect the others will pip tomorrow. I have alarms set to check humidity every few hours tonight.

This looks very familiar. We have two that keep checking it out, and the brooder bin. Is that a Jack? Russell. lol

Here are my three that have hatched so far. Just waiting on the last two. I have a broody OEGB who has been sitting for probably more than 4 weeks waiting for something to hatch (her eggs weren't fertile), so I'll give her these babies. She's a fantastic mother and she's even raised a duckling for us. She's going to be so happy.

Apparently I won’t have a perfect hatch. A small egg (I didn’t realize it was small until it had development) apparently was positioned just right so I didn’t notice it had stopped growing. It’s still too light out for a good candle, but it’s definitely gone. This is actually good since I didn’t need these chicks. The broody hens will repopulate the coop!

We've given her the three that hatched and I'll add the other two when they hatch - she was so happy to have babies! She's a fantastic broody because she never pecks at us, only growls indignantly, and she takes great care of her little ones.

Does anyone else ever get Antsy on the final Days? I'm like itching to see when I'll see some movement or pips
And canceling from the outside doesn't really work that well
Do these look normal? I can't tell

Looks good. The last few days are torture! I don't know how hens do it with so much patience.
