Well, I candled my eggs last night and half of them were blood rings. Not sure what is going on. Hopefully the rest will be ok. This did not happen with my hatch last month; maybe I didn’t do a good job cleaning the incubator? Feeling a bit disappointed.

Be careful...sometimes when the blood vessels start..they can...appear...to be blood rings. If they aren't a real thick line, I would leave them for a few days.

I set my own eggs again this time. The only thing I did differently was that the incubator was on the floor this time and on top of a cabinet the last time. So I wonder if it is colder on the floor or something? The cabinet is gone now so maybe I should find something else to put the incubator on.

I have one on the floor. And the room is cold! Just keep the temp up. I have several on lockdown right now..3 pips.

As you may have seen in a couple of my responses, I have chicks hatching today...none yet, but one is starting to zip, and a couple of others pipped. Barnyard...specials. .

I candled 8 eggs today on day 8, 6 are looking good spider veins and movement the other 2 had growth but couldn't see much. I will candle the rest later today

They only have grass because they get out for about 1 or 2 hours per day! And, it is not tall grass by far!
