Day 6 / 8 (AKA close enough to day 7 for all eggs) candling report from last night:

3 for sure babies :celebrate I already knew this, but seeing them dance around in there is comforting. One was hiding so I didn't actually see it, but that egg has lots of healthy-looking veining going on so I'm not worried.

One more miiiight have had veins in it? I couldn't tell for sure. :fl

One is definitely a dud, glowing yellow. I left it in because, well, I don't know, I just left it in. :p

The rest are more of a reddish-orangish glow like the developing eggs, but I didn't see anything so... maybe? Obviously, they stayed in, too.

Only other thing worth noting is the air cells seemed just a little bit smaller than they should have been, so I've adjusted to lower the humidity in there.

It’s Saturday before Easter, so it’s hatch day, right?!

It is for my refrigerator babies!! I also officially have a naked neck Polkie, Showgirl Polkie? Anyway, she has all the fluff in the front and naked on the back. :lau

I am seriously dying to candle! I want to see if I can just take the chicks out of their shells now. Like food from the oven or microwave.
The only thing keeping me sane is not setting up the brooder. Once it’s ready, I’m ready!

If you take the bread out too soon you will have squishy dough. Nobody likes squishy dough. Lol
