Day 21 and the Welsummers have started to hatch :wee :jumpy. Typically they are large and slow to get going. Never seem to be in a hurry. One of the cockerels hatched last week took 2 days to sleep off the hatch 🐣.

Those look find to me for day 11-13. Just mark the cells and check again next week. They're doing great.
They look good to me. Good development and the air cells are about where they should be.

This is very reassuring, thank you both. :)

I guess I really am just not used to these giant large fowl eggs after hatching so many tiny bantams. 🤣
 
Okay, now that I am extra worried :oops: I went ahead and took them to a dark room to candle them for pictures early (and managed not to drop them, phew). First egg is on day 13 and second egg is on day 11.
