We got a used play station 2 and bought a new game for it, the DDR
Dance Dance Revolution and the dance pad, where the kids (and adults) step on the different pads to the beat of the music. It actually hooks to the tv, and you put the dance pad on the floor . This is a big hit.

the play station we got used at a pawn shop and the DDR, we got off Ebay.
check it out on ebay, type in DDR or Dance Dance Revolution.

Silkie, I got my first pellet gun at 10

Wendy, I'm sorry your ex put you and the kids through such an ordeal. Your husband now sounds great expecially if he brought you to Arkansas on vacation!! Where in Arkansas did you go.

My parents were hesitant on getting me a pellet gun since although we live on acerage... we are in the middle of the city. One wrong driver coming up the driveway and next thing you know the place is covered in sheriff deputes.

Maybe in addition to the savings, a checking account wouldn't be too bad too so they can learn how to keep a book balanced. Credit Unions are the way to go for sure. I know ours is still getting 7.5% APR for the first 500 in checking and first 500 in savings.
