I need to decide if I want to be done or not... if I find people who want chicks then I'll definitely hatch more.

I am sick and not capable of counting accurately, but at least 8 have hatched and all the ones I can see without too much effort are pipped.

Do stored eggs take longer to hatch? Most of my own eggs, which were gathered within 3-4 days of setting, have been hatching but only one of the Easter Eggers, which were at least 5 days old when set and possibly as much as 10 days, are pipped, but not out yet.

My broody got up from the nest for a brief respite, so I took a peek at the clutch. Hatch day should theoretically be tomorrow.

Started with 8 eggs, the sneaky lady stole some more, two were removed when I candled around halfway, and here we are. 14 currently in the nest.

I also post on IG @little.blue.henhouse for those who like to fill their feed with chicken photos.

You know what happend when you have weak chicks .. they become yours favorites. They are 24 hours old still cant stand a lot.. i help them with hatch beacuse they would never make it, beacuse they were stuck.

They eat little boiled egg yolk now.. i really want Save this duo
What else to do? Gave them sugar water to but they are not into drinking.

I gave them water with suger but they are not into drinking..

We ended today with 20 ducklings and 19 chicks! Turned out to be a good hatch. Will get pics tomorrow.

19 out of 23 (21 fertile) chicken eggs
