All under my broody are hatched and happy! Have 4 left in the bator I will give till tomorrow before calling it.

Aww! I've noticed that the chicks I hatched seem WAY friendlier than ones from the feedstore.

I wonder if it's because there's no rough shipping, and they're not traumatized from the way they might be roughly treated (even by humans) before.

I’ve wondered if seeing us right off helps to imprint them too! Some of them last time would get incredibly upset until I snuggled them for a while

Good question. One would think that imprinting out of an incubator would be a thing.
Perhaps mine don't imprint because I don't snuggle them so they seem to lose the imprint after a couple days.

Hurrah! 100% hatch. (well... for the Spitz)

Of course MOST were not fertile. I blame the darkness and 3 feet of snow.

One of them... not sure which, peeped for almost 3 days before hatching!! Silly poky chick! The other was just an egg... then, pop... a chick.

So, dark one is golden spangled, light one is chamois.. Both Spitz.
