Well, my shipped eggs just arrived! They never even gave me any kind of notification that they'd shipped, so... Surprise, I guess! I wasn't really expecting them until tomorrow or Saturday, so definitely a surprise!

How early can eggs be set to count for the hatchalong? I'd like to get them in the incubator as soon as possible, so I'm thinking I might set them tomorrow rather than waiting until Saturday. Will that be okay?

I finally decided to hatch and almost ordered hatching eggs but then realized that I don't have an an incubator or broody hen. Haha

So I guess I only have my old cheapo incubator and I'm probably not going to use that. So yea..

Leave them on the counter in a cool room, do not refrigerate them.

Can you fit 2 bantam eggs in one slot on a NR360? Got my eggs mostly picked out, will swap the older ones for fresh if the right girls lay tomorrow. No broody unfortunately.

On my sister's wifi so I can checking in. Here's a photo of the blue and green eggs I was given by my BIL'S friend -- trading for my flock's eggs. Turns out that the roosters for his flock are Marans so hatching olive eggers.

Funny how the eggs are almost the same color as the cartons.

I figure I'll set half these and half from my flock.

I don't think so-if you mean in the egg turner. You need it to turn smoothly, and I think it's be too tight.

I agree with @Lemon-Drop, the NR360 needs to be able to automatically turn the eggs smoothly or else the eggs will just get stuck and not turn properly.

What disinfectants do you guys use to clean incubators?
