I have 12 in my tiny incubator, set on the 26th. Unfortunately, none of my hens are broody yet, so I don't have another set in the nest. Just these, gathered from the day's paid room-and-board tenants :) Mixed flock, I have no idea what the colors will be - RIR, BPR, EE, Black Australorps, non-ID'd white, and a couple of mutts. We shall see!

Quick question for those of us who are impatient and candle on day 3... is it normal to see more eggs that look like they have blood rings on day 3? Is that a for sure they are dead (not that I'm about to pull eggs on day three!), just trying to get my hopes up I guess. I did some candling (I'm incubating mostly pullet eggs, which I get there is some debate over) and some eggs already appear to have a blood ring/separation type thing going on. What could I be seeing?

Absolutely! I done the same today 🤦‍♀️ Day 3 I was candling, so impatient, we need a few more days to be certain, I feel your pain! I’m exactly the same ♥️

I need to make room for my govee too, just wish it was a tiny little one! But I like to see it when I walk by without obsessing over my phone. Super surprised all my eggs are easy to candle! They’re all olive-ish to blueish. A bit porous for my liking, but ah well. Good luck on your hatch!
I hope you have a good hatch!

My incubator isn't Maintaining temp .I've tried working on it for 2 days.Im probably going to be an observer this go around.Jm so sad.I was so excited. My husband won't buy me a incubator HE THINKS HE CAN MAKE EVERYTHING 🙄😑
Can you borrow an incubator from your local 4-H club?

It does not look like a classic blood ring.

Give them time.
