That is the list of everyone that has replied to this thread as of a few minutes ago. Will those of you that set eggs, or are setting eggs, please let me know how many you set. Some of you have already sent me a conversation, so you're okay. Everyone else, please let me know asap because we cannot finalize the Guess How Many Eggs Will Be Set! contest until we get your set numbers. We also can't open the Guess How Many Eggs Will Hatch! contest until we know how many were set.

Both ..between pointy pelvic bones in great layers you put 3 fringers for sure.. and between keel bone and pelvic bones 4 fringers or whole hand ( depends on Hand size) but when you have 10 hens in front you you Will easy see diference ....doing it just on one will left you nah is she wide or not.. but do it on few hens and you will spot difference

The space between the pelvic bones will only tell if laying is imminent, not whether they will lay well throughout the year.
The space between the keel and pelvis is what indicates capacity for good production long term.

My incubator isn't Maintaining temp .I've tried working on it for 2 days.Im probably going to be an observer this go around.Jm so sad.I was so excited.My husband won't buy me a incubator HE THINKS HE CAN MAKE EVERYTHING

Perhaps he can.
I've made a couple and one great huge cabinet/hatcher combination.

I want too and omg I still have a day to set but the misses is demanding a no hatch for a bit cuz I'm about to get a baby cockatiel 7-8 weeks old hand fed soon and then she wants another snake for the reptipe expo in june, plus they raised the price of my food on Amazon so small break, though shana did hatch out yin yang white winged tux twins (yin yang style)

Quick question for those of us who are impatient and candle on day 3... is it normal to see more eggs that look like they have blood rings on day 3? Is that a for sure they are dead (not that I'm about to pull eggs on day three!), just trying to get my hopes up I guess. I did some candling (I'm incubating mostly pullet eggs, which I get there is some debate over) and some eggs already appear to have a blood ring/separation type thing going on. What could I be seeing?
