14 out of 19 eggs!

I got my eggs shipped from my pet chicken so I didn't expect much because they were shipped but tonight (day 17) I candled and 14 out of 19 of them are alive with pretty good looking air cells!! Two were infertile and 3, sadly, died during growth. But 14 out of 19 for shipped eggs is great I hear! I just hope now that they all (or at least some!) hatch and are okay!

Thanks! I've got sulmtalers, black australorps, dominques, speckled sussexes, white Cochins, and I had 3 jubilee orpingtons but those passed away which sucks because they were 17 bucks an egg! lol

I had to pull up MPC to see what a Jubilee Orp looks like. They remind me of a big, fluffy Speckled Sussex, very pretty. Sorry you lost those and ouch on the price!

I've never incubated eggs (at least not yet!) but I like to read about other's doing it. And seeing their photos.

I had to pull up MPC to see what a Jubilee Orp looks like. They remind me of a big, fluffy Speckled Sussex, very pretty. Sorry you lost those and ouch on the price!

You'll love the SS! We have 3 in our mixed flock and they are the sweetest girls. Funny, they are so pretty but their voices sound like something you would hear from the Bronx (you'll see what I mean).

Oh really? I had never heard of them before! That makes me even more excited for them, their pictures were so pretty! Can't wait to hear what they sound like lol!
