There's a lot of white and I think I see saddle feathers growing in. I say boy!

I vote rooster...the last picture changed my mind from hen.

I have 16 week BR pullet and her combs and wattles are much smaller and pink, not red like yours. So I'm going with roo.

No crowing or mating yet?

They look like Dominique hens to me.

At 16 weeks roosters would have large tails and hackle feathers, but pullet could be getting ready to lay!

Do they squat?

Combs wrong for a BR and i say it's a Dominique or a cross.

Also I'd say pullet ready to lay or nearly so. I have two dominiques.

He looks more white with black bars than the other way around in these pictures so I will vote rooster also. Plus the legs look significant and those tail feathers are way more fancy than my girl of the same age. I think another sign for a female is a dark color on the front of the legs. Don't give up hope until you have proof, though -- I had two he/shes that were SO looking and acting like roosters and they ended up both being girls.

The comb does not look like the comb on my BR pullet. Mine is 16 weeks and her 'face' is much redder that your bird.
