I have 10 pullets that are around 16wks old and are showing signs of egg laying soon. Over the past few days, majority of them are laying down in the exact same spot in the coop until i approach them and they get up and move. Is this just another sign of them getting ready to lay or is it normal for their age? They don’t act or look sick.

Laying down in the coop or run?
Chickens will lounge around during the day, especially in warm weather. Or take dust baths. They may be getting up in anticipation of food/water or a treat from you.
I have not found a correlation of lounging about and the onset of egg laying.
Mostly in the coop. Thank you!
