16 eggs, 3 species, 1 homemade incubator: Will it be done?

@Redhead Rae lost your quote. Tiny looks mottled?? If so, he can't be from one of the chocolate hens. He'd have to be full cochin from one of my carrier hens with the mottled rooster. They are all pretty though. You got a nice color assortment!

I'm just starting out trying to build some show quality flocks. Of the chicks I've hatched so far this year I've got 2 chantecler and 3 buckeyes that have made the grade so far (oldest being 4 weeks old). Gonna have lots of chicken in the freezer this fall...

I wanna seeee them :pop

The adults or the babies?

I like the idea of guinea hogs :)
I've considered rabbits, too. Namely German Angoras for fiber.
I have Kune Kune pigs! I love them. They are pets only and do a great job of keeping the grass clipped whilst not destroying the ground.
Attached is a pic of Whipple Scrumptious Fudgemallow Delight as a piglet :) We just call her Whipple.

I'd be doing meat bunnies.
Grew up raising New Zealands for meat - I remember many a night having teriyaki rabbit thighs... delicious.
Funny story: My dad was so fast at butchering them that he could get the heart out while it was still beating. I thought this was very cool and had a little friend over when it was butchering time. I grabbed the still beating heart and held it out saying, "LOOK!!! It's still beating!!!" She puked everywhere and her mom had to come get her. I didn't understand at all what the issue was. Farm kids...

No pigs for me this year (freezer is full). I'm really looking forward to getting some next spring though.
