16 week old Barred Rock

Wow. Thanks everyone. I feel soooo much better. I had been thinking because of her darker color and the smaller feet with the nice dark wash that she was a she. But after a few of my other girls turning out to be boys, I started getting paranoid when her comb started looking so big and red.
Now I'm thinking that I had better get the nesting box in the coop. I have also noticed that her and a few of the other 16 week old girls have been "talking" a bit different than their usual chatter and this makes me think that they are geting ready to move on to their next phase...of egg laying. YAY! I am really looking forward to it.

I hope shes a girl for you, my girl has very yellow legs and no comb or wattles to speak of at this point and she is 15 weeks old, I think my Bonnie might just be a slow grower (Wall flower). I just have the one BR girl so no-one to compare her too. Yours is very pretty so she looks like a girl to me!

Thanks speckledhen, I was hoping that you would chime in here. I figured that you'd know if this was a roo. Do you know when the BR's usually start laying?
Anyway I like these girls too. This one has such a great personality that when I was adding chicks, I got another BR. She's a real character too.
