That's pretty darn warm.
It's what Cackle recommends when they arrive to warm them up. I'm slowly reducing the temperature as I watch them.

Have to guess all the chicks are doing well this morning?Got down to 70°F last night in the coop so I turned the heaters back on this morning at 4 AM.

If I can just find one smart one in my flock mine will use the nipples also lolYes they all look great.
Interesting they have taught themselves to just push on the nipple and drink as the water comes out. My Rhode Island Red hens have always pecked at the nipple.

...unless you're trying to acclimate then to 'southern' heat ranges
'On the deck' meaning directly under the light?No it was 70°F on the deck and 50°F ambient.
Now it's 90°F on the deck and 70°F ambient.
