Chocolate Ameraucana, white Ameraucana, project color Ameraucana and Schijndelaar are done. Waiting on silver Ameraucana now.

Only three more days until lockdown! I’m sending all the good vibes and prayers that these little ones have made it this far. My husband and I are really hoping at least one of the six pulls through (one of the eggs was clear from the start- so it is really 5 eggs)—especially after all they’ve been through. We had some detached air cells and other issues. These eggs traveled over 3,000 miles and even got lost in the mail for a bit. That’s an intense journey for something so fragile. If even one little fighter makes it, we’ll be over the moon! (praying it is a olive/easter egger and not the white leghorns- but it is crap shoot!).

These eggs traveled over 3,000 miles and even got lost in the mail for a bit. That’s an intense journey for something so fragile.

Lots of good hopes and prayers for these babies! They will be extra special.

Just got home from work and took them out of the rockers. Tempted to set up a camera so I can watch them while I'm working.

I'm in lockdown as of last night. I started with 23 eggs in my NR360 and total of eight have made it to lockdown. These were three different breeds, in groups of eight, ordered off of eBay and shipped to me. Ironically, the gropup of eggs that took the longest to get to me have the most eggs entering lockdown (four Speckled Sussex). It was also the package that one of the eight eggs was cracked during transit. You just never know.

This use to be a huge hatch a long. Loved doing this when I was hatching back in the day.

I totally forgot about the hatch along but I set eggs in late March and all my babies hatched yesterday!
