17 chicks from Tractor Supply - Growth/sexing thread

Definitely not buff beahmas. Lol
Looking at them again I noticed the straight combs. Though my buff brahma bantam hen had a straight comb too, she was terrible quality. Just throwing it out there. It's more likely he has really poor quality buff brahma bantams than booted bantams.
How does the silkie look now? Buff or white?

She doesn’t look very buff to me (lol, because (s)he’s a chick ), but she has some weird yellow splotches that leave me wondering..
Definitely white. Buff ones are super yellowy compared to that.

Definitely white. Buff ones are extremely obvious.
why is it moor likely to be a buff Brahma? it has vulcher hocks like a booted bantam, it is NOT giant like a Brahma, it looks like a booted bantam throe and throe, not trying to be rude just making a point

Buff Brahma bantam. Booted bantams are an extremely rare breed of chicken from the Netherlands. Most hatcheries don't even carry them. Almost all hatcheries, including the ones TSC usually sources from, carry buff brahma bantams. OP even said how his TSC very rarely has a variety. To not even have common birds, I can't imagine they'd ever get in something incredibly rare like booted bantams. Especially multiple ones. I understand that sometimes a rare bird slips through, but not more than one usually.
How does it look like a booted bantam? It looks nothing like one.
My brahmas have vulture hocks too. 🤷🏻‍♀️
I'm not trying to be rude either, just thought I'd mention that it's not a booted bantam so there wouldn't be any disappointment.
I'm not saying it's a brahma either, since they're definitely missing some brahma characteristics. I'd guess looking at the pics again they're mille fleur D'uccles without face floof.
That's pretty common with hatchery birds.

If you look on Hoover's website their D'uccles don't even have beards in the pic, lol.
