17 week Rhode Island Red gender

I've been pretty confident that our little Penny is a pullet but I just want to make sure I’m thinking correctly lol. She is 17 weeks now and since she is my first and only RIR I have nothing to compare to. I feel like she is much redder today than she normally is...perhaps getting ready to lay?

Her legs aren't thick, and her tail feathers (sickles???) aren't pointed.

When referring to females, the term "Main tail feathers" is used to describe the tail feathers that fan out (In fan tail breeds such as RIR)
Coverts are the feathers near the base of the tail, on both genders.

Sickles are the long, arching feathers found exclusively in the tails of males from breeds that aren't hen feathered. Sickles are also absent from breeds with a bun tail such as a Cochin or Brahma.

I’m curious to see if she starts laying soon or holds out till spring. My 26 week old hens are laying still, only started about a month ago, so anything is possible! Fingers crossed!
