Yeah, I noticed that. Had to zoom in a good amount to see the saddle feathers.The light washed the picture out big time on the second BO.
Yep.You can see the wash of color over the wing coming in too actually.

The lighter one I was talking about was the white one in the first photo.
I think that your white one is a pullet also while your Buff Orpington is a rooster. I have Black Orpingtons at 20/21 weeks now all pullets. They are not at POL but very close and they have not come close to looking sexually mature yet as your Roo- especially at 17!weeks. So that helps me draw that conclusion more. The feet in the picture did not. I did not see spur development.
