19 and a half weeks old and still no eggs :( egg countdown anyone??

31 weeks. 31. My Buff Orp girls have started laying. A couple days ago we found a lone egg under the pear tree. Skip a day- nada. Today I found another egg under the pear tree, still slightly warm. Went into the coop and found of the hennies chatting away staring at yet another egg laying on the floor. I nabbed it and it was still hot. LOL They were chattering away looking so confused. It was really cute!
Awesome :)... !!!!

So I gave my birds some night treats, and well..... One pullet when I started to pet her, she didn this weird dance thing/swat :? Fluffy butts, swating..... still no eggs :?
The dance thing is definitely a sign. My two GCs do it but my EEs don't. It's like they get so excited they can't control their little feet!!!

thinking back on the earlier days... it was so fun when they were bitty... mine are all fluffy gorgeous gals now... and I get Huge Stomp Stomp Squats from all of the darlings...

those small squats and confused reactions are very exciting! it is The Sign that they are maturing. I hope you are all enjoying these times as much as I did... waiting for the very first egg, and then the first egg from each pullet was so special. I will never forget, and if I do someday...

So there is still hope for my Buff Orp who is 28 weeks old today. Congrats on your discovery.
