19 and a half weeks old and still no eggs :( egg countdown anyone??

I have 17 hens that are 21 weeks old today. I thought they would never lay. I was just reading the forum this afternoon and thinking good, I am not alone.I was starting to get worried. Today when I got home from work I found my first small white egg from my Crele Polish hen. I know it was her because she is the only one that I have that's a white egg layer. She can now graduate to the big girl club from pullet to hen!

Our pullets just turned 17 weeks, and all 6 of them are already laying. They're the CUTEST little eggs...but I can't wait for them to get a bit bigger!

Wow! What did you tell them to get them all laying at 17 weeks???

I'm waiting for my very first eggs too. My Light Brahma is between 20 and 24 weeks--I was told she was 2-3 months old when I got her, so that's why the range. She looked older than 8 weeks though--I suspect she was at least 10 weeks then, which would put her at 22 weeks now. No sign of an egg yet. I was sure she'd be my first, but I have two BCM who are a bit over 19 weeks, and one or both of them may beat her to the punch! After that, everybody is 14 weeks or younger, so it'll be awhile. I will have a very, very long wait if I want an egg from my Silkie, as he's crowing now

Well I got a big suprise when I went to check on my group yesterday there where 4 eggs from my EE i was so excited!! There about 21 weeks old I was expecting to wait at least a few more weeks.. now waiting on my plymoth and the newer pullets who are 11 weeks. Love my Girls

My Barred Plymouth Rock waited until she was about 10 months old before her first egg.... We just started getting eggs from 1 or 2 of our Gold Comets this week at 17 weeks old and an EE started today

I never thought I'd get so many responses to this thread! lol I thought i was the only one with stubborn chickens who just wont give up their eggs

24 cinnamon queens 15 weeks old. Everyone has said to expect them end of next month or beginning of September. Hard to wait though! Good luck all!
