19 and a half weeks old and still no eggs :( egg countdown anyone??

I also have to brag for a moment that Daisy, my petite little Leg, layed an egg SO BIG this morning that I couldn't fit it in the egg carton! I couldn't close the lid! And she went on and on about that jumbo egg too!

Zoinks! She deserves a treat! Today mine are loving some of the brooks prunes we sneaked off the tree just before they are ripe.

OMG!!!! THAT IS HUGE MEGAN!!!!!! I'D SCREAM BAGOKKKKK TOO!!!!!! POOR DAISY!!!
my Gertie took about three hours late this afternoon squawking and setting and squawking and setting and walking around and setting and squawking and finally layed a tiny little egg, all hers are still small and cute except yesterday she layed a good size one. Funny all my girls so far are very quiet about laying just go in there make little cheeping/chatter noises and very quietly get down to business, Gertie makes the whole world know she is getting ready, and as soon as the deed is done out she pops quiet as a mouse??? weirdo!!!

It looks like Daisy laid a duck egg! Check her feet for webbing :)

My two BCM girls have been laying for a month now, and pretty much each lay an egg a day. They are usually about the size of a medium egg, but there was one very large one that turned out to have a double yolk. I have vowed not to buy any more eggs from the store, so I'm really hoping some of the other pullets step up to the plate soon to help those girls out.

So here's the issue- I have 5 pullets who are only 11 weeks, so I don't expect anything from them. I have 2 that are nineteen weeks, and they're bantams, so again, no expectations--when they're ready, they'll let me know. The ones I'm holding my breath on are two lavender Ameraucanas who are now 20 weeks, and I am DYING to see what their eggs are going to look like. But they are just acting like a couple of tweens, still playing with Barbie Dolls and making daisy chains in the yard, with NO THOUGHT to earning a living or raising a family!

I have three RIR pullets that will be 21 weeks old Sunday and they are acting very "ready" squatting and bright red huge combs! I think last weekend one of them may have even layed a small soft egg in the night so.....Come on girls!! let's see some eggs!!!!

Oooh, sounds like you'll have eggs this weekend! If they're squatting, they're close. My BCM girls didn't even start squatting until after they'd started laying. The lavenders have no clue...they're not even getting red on their combs. Maybe this color doesn't get red? But the cockerels are bright red, and they're all from the same hatch.

That's funny, my BR and Americauna are usually quiet but Daisy sings an egg aria every time she comes out of the coop. She gets Silver going too. Silly girls, I hope my neighbors enjoy egg arias as much as I do!
