19 and a half weeks old and still no eggs :( egg countdown anyone??

Can I join? I have 11 laying ducks: 19 and 22 weeks old. Monday we got out first egg. And Tuesday and Wednesday one each on those days too. So 3 eggs so far.
I have various age chickens: 12-16 weeks and then four 23 week olds. No eggs on those 23 weekers??
Want me some eggs!

Oooh! I have two 2-month old Indian Runners and I'm excited for them to start. Maybe you or Nelson could answer some questions though...Do ducks generally start around the same age as chickens? If so that will put my girls the beginning of November (just in time for holiday baking!

) BUT, I hear that chickens need at least 13 hours of daylight to lay in the winter, is it the same with ducks? I'm thinking of a solar power light for the coop, but my ducks have a seperate house. What color will Runner ducks lay? I have one F+W and one black and they are gorgeous and sweet! Love my ducks, they are worth the bit of extra mess.

we adopted our ducks when they were big but not laying and they started laying a week after my chickens and have not missed a day so and our ducks were born on april same as our chickens so yeah...

Nomibear, don't give up on 'em. They sure look ready to go.

So it finally happened -- FIRST EGG! And not one, but two! Our BSL and RIR, both 30 weeks old, finally got with the program and left me a nice surprise today! I would post a picture, but I'm on a different computer than usual and don't have access to the image.

Today of all days I was late checking on the nesting box, but guess what? There was a small, but perfect light brown egg in one of the boxes. I sure hope they get larger, it would be nice to get some with double yokes.

Yaaaaaayyyyy!

my pullets will be 20 weeks on Friday. 2 RIR's 2 BR's 2 EE's. The BR's look like they are the closest, squatting regularly, getting red...

the RIR's don't look at all ready, yellow faces, no squatting... small combs, but nice large bodies... very healthy girls, just late bloomers I guess, and the EE's from what I've read will keep me waiting the longest... I've made a bet that they will lay their first eggs in February, 2013, in the middle of an ice storm.

18 weeks, 2 days old and one of my leghorns laid a perfect little egg in the corner under the roost. I have 13 pullets, all the same age so HOPEFULLY some of the other girls will join her soon and I will have enough for our breakfast each morning!
