19 and a half weeks old and still no eggs :( egg countdown anyone??

Gracie has 4 babies. 2 black 1 yellow 1 orange & black. 1 black has fuzzy legs as well as the yellow chick. The other black & the orange/black babies have smooth legs. 1 of them is an EE chick, but I don't know which one. I've 4 possible roosters. 1 Blue Cochin. 1 Salmon Faverole. 1 EE & one that is a RIR/EE mix. Although the babies hatched yesterday, Gracie is mostly keeping them under her.

Oh these are soooooo adorable, so sweet.....more pics pleeeeease

I found my first turkey eggs today!

Actually, it was Nelson who found them and he found 7! How did he find them? We "lost" one of our turkeys this morning ... one of the hens ... and Nelson and I were tearing around the yard looking for her (worried that maybe someone had come here to do their shopping for Thanksgiving dinner!!!) I was on the far side of the duck run when Nelson told me to come running. Where? Where? It was raining and I had a waterproof poncho on and I couldn't see or hear very well. It was wet and my shoes are 3 sizes to big and I was trying to skate/shuffle in the direction where I thought he might be. I found him over by the house holding 3 turkey eggs in his hand! There was a despondent looking hen trailing behind him. We went and poked around a bit more and found 4 more eggs. Clearly they know something is up and are upping their ante in their bid to be "keepers." But, sadly, these darlings can't say; they are the wrong breed.

They are SO dirty!

I can now report that a turkey hen displays all the same warning signs about laying as a chicken: squatting, more friendly. I saw one of the Toms mounting a hen the other day ...

Any chance the eggs are fertile? Last Dec my 7mo old turkey hen disapeared. Jan 4th or so, my Granddaughter found her sitting on a nest of 18 (sterile) eggs. Alas, we had no Tom at that time. Now I've 3 hens and 1 Tom so are hoping for spring chicks!

They might be fertile. I've seen some mating. Unfortunately they are Broad Breasted Bronze. They are just now getting large enough to be uncomfortable moving around so they can't really be kept any longer. We are also under boss's orders to NOT hatch them.

My son went out at 7:00 a.m. and collected our lone egg this morning. I checked again at 11:00, and someone else, left me a small egg! So excited to get more than 1 egg a day! My first egg came last Friday, she has laid 3 more since then. I am planning on making 4 small deviled eggs to take for Thanksgiving dinner! (We scrambled the first egg so everyone could try a taste)

you know it's 7 months now and I still only have 2 of 14 laying.... the dominique and the buttercup.. so that's 12 hens
with no eggs coming out. Poor desdemona seems to crank out an egg every day, i think she's trying to make up for
the rest of them....

Sooo exciting! We got our first egg three days ago. Been waiting:p

So then today I heard the song kick in. Opened the back door which is squeaky, and then boom everybody staring at me. About 40 mins later I went outside with treats, and went to peek in the nest box and boom there is Gerty. Left her be then she came out 30mins later. I checked. no egg. So do they try but not produce? Or did I freek her out?
