I have a problem with their explination... "We will allow God to determine how many children we have"
Isn't that like saying, "I'll let God determine how many drinks I have before I pass out"
I'm a Christian woman, and seek the Lord for guidance, but I also believe that He gave us free will, so that we could make our own decisions.
That being said, if these people have chosen to have an entire brood of kids, well then, so be it. That doesn't mean that I have to agree with it. Some of their practices are just less than desireable to me...
Such as assigning an older sibling to a younger sibling (Among Others) Raising a child (including instilling values, morals, teaching right from wrong, bathing, feeding, and generally caring for, etc, etc, etc.) is a mother's (and/or father's) responsibility, IMHO, not another child's. When you no longer have the time to devote to your children, in that you have to assign an older sibling to care for them, that should be a good sign to stop having more children. Childrearing should be about quality, not quantity.
