19 month old Daughter running around naked!!!

WHen my daughter was 2 she would pee in the poty but not poo.. I would tell her that she was in her undies and would need to use the potty. She would come out with a lump in her pants. That went on for about another 6 months and then she finally got over it. My 5 yr old was still in pull ups at 3 and my last son was born right after he turned 3. My hubby went to daycare to tell her that I had gone to the hospital and told out son that there was going to be another baby in the family soon and that we would like him to be a big boy and use the potty. We didnt want 2 babies in the house wearing diapies. He came to the hospital after his brother was born and from that time on has used the potty. He does have an accedent during the night once in a while but that is usually because we forget to tell him to use the bathroom before bed. My son that is a yr and a half is now starting to use the potty. Life is to short to fight with a kid about the potty. I realize if the were 4 or 5 that is one thing but otherwise let them go. My biggest problem now is making sure that the 4 yr old doesnt drop it and pee on a tree at his grandmas that lives in town. lol He has watered the trees a few times and just doesnt understand that it is fine in the country where no one will see you but you cant do it in town.. He is getting better. Jenn

i will tell you i was the youngest of four girls. i would want to go without a shirt like my dad. i guess i was between 3 and 5 looking at the pictures. i had long dark hair down past my waist and would wear a ball cap and jeans all the time. they have pictures of me with not shirt on and dressed like this as nasty evidence! lol! i don't remember it being a big problem or my parents making a big deal out of it.
i have a son that was two in march he has been potty trained about 6 weeks now. still working on the poop poop part some of the time he does it in the potty and sometimes he does not. i have trained him to sit on the potty though for now unless we are outside then he can pee standing up. i made a chart on a poster and he puts up a sticker everytime he pees. he hasn't wanted to use the sticker chart in the last week, i guess he is out growing that. i have a daughter that was one in august so she is to young to potty train and does not try. but i had to get my son potty trained he was in the biggest diaper they made and pull ups to me don't work they did not for my older child plus they are to expensive. but he would wake up dry and i started getting him to potty months before we actually did between diaper changes i would get him to sit on the potty. he loved it, sometimes he would go sometimes he would not. but he got use to the potty training idea. so when he showed some signs of staying dry and a few other signs. he is tall not fat and my hubby said the size 6 diapers were starting to look like bikini's on him! lol. so i started the sticker chart and he did great!
edited to say: he was also to tall for the potty chairs they make, i had one that played music. so i bought the sit that sits on the big potty with a character on it. it has worked great.

I have a favorite story about my middle daughter. When she was about four I left her in the tub for a moment while I went to answer phone. When I returned I heard her jumping on her bed and singing. I tip toed to her bedroom and saw her jumping on bed (which was definitely NOT allowed) and spinning and flipping around while singing "I'm neckid and free and I love being neckid and free". About the time she had her back and butt to me she ducked her head between her legs and saw me standing in doorway and her mouth dropped open. I didn't need a camera because the sight is forever frozen in my mind. It was so funny I couldn't be mad. She's 27 now and we still sing "I'm neckid and free" when we refer to her.
