1984 the book

Oh yes DS did say that it was a not to do manual! It is the things that are happening now and are very scary. but it is a book we all need to read.

I'm about halfway through.

It isn't that bad so far, out in the country and some places in town are actually pretty nice, but I know I haven't got to the bit where they brainwash Winston.

(And I know this happens because the person who owned my book beforehand has scribbled notes all over it.

Another very good book is "This Perfect Day," by Ira Levin.
